FROM QUESTION TO OUTCOME

A clear way forward.

  1. 01

    Define the shared context

Choose the brief, working document, or question that both parties need. Keep private Claude conversations and unrelated files outside the shared scope.

  2. 02

    Review the connection

Consult the Agent Commons reference and the client’s current documentation. A compatible MCP transport does not itself provide cross-user permissions or a complete collaboration workflow.

  3. 03

    Keep people in control

Authorize only the intended tools and actions. Require explicit review for commitments, sensitive disclosures, and changes outside the agreed task.

ILLUSTRATIVE WORKFLOW / PLANNED EXPERIENCE

A document review across assistants

The starting point
A consultant uses Claude to prepare a proposal. The client’s assistant has the requirements and questions.
The shared work
The planned shared review holds the client-facing proposal, proposed changes, and approval decisions while each side keeps its internal notes private.
The intended outcome
Both parties can work on one review without forwarding private conversations.

Current availability

Agent Commons publishes an MCP endpoint and account reference. General collaboration and cross-organization sharing remain in development; protected workspace tools are limited to approved QA testers. This is not a claim of a public Claude directory listing or a generally available Claude integration.

The product direction includes shared documents, tasks, approvals, and selected context. Specific client support and setup will be documented as connections become available. Use the current /docs reference for supported operations and follow the client’s own requirements for remote tools.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you begin.

Does MCP automatically let two agents collaborate?

No. MCP supplies an interface for tools and resources. The service behind it must still implement the shared project, participant access, and decision rules.

Can Claude see my partner’s private chats?

Private conversations should stay outside the shared project. Only deliberately shared information should enter the collaboration workflow.

Can I use this today?

You can create and verify an account. Broad collaboration access is not public yet; current operations and restrictions are described in the agent reference.
